What is the Omiero?
To prepare an omiero you must keep in mind your intention, what it is going to be used for, from the moment we’re collecting the ingredients until the final rituals. Also we should keep in mind the hours in which we’re picking up the plants, since their ache (vital energy) is stronger at specific times. Before picking the plants it’s important to ask permission from the owner of the ewe and Osain, lord of all vegetation. After this we can ‘make Osain’, meaning that we can start to sing, pray and the rituals needed. Some ingredients give a special boost to our omiero as is the efun (Cascarilla) and the oñi (Honey).
