Cassava In Coconut Milk.

Cassava In Coconut Milk.

Cassava In Coconut Milk.

Peel the cassava roots - make sure you check the flesh is white - if any discolouration discard. Cut into pieces no small than 5cm long. Boil on full heat for 15 minutes in water or until starting to 'fluff' - this may take longer as you should time it from when the pot starts boiling. Drain and allow to cool Empty out the full can of coconut milk into a pan and warm. Add palm sugar and stir until dissolved. Add cooked cassava root and cook until the coconut milk has been reduced and what's left is a sweet white sticky mash. Serve respectfully. If you have not the time you can get some things called ''cassava cake'' from any Philipino store. These are acceptable, but I always believe in putting your own Ashe in whilst cooking.

Necessary products:

  • 2 Cassava roots.
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 2 thumb-sized lumps of palm sugar (if you have small thumbs make it 3)
